Listen to my own music during game play?

I am a newcomer here, so please bear with me.
I've recently gotten into EarthQuest, (Amazing), and am trying to figure out a way to play mp3's from my own library during play. And not just for this, but other gamers as well.
Is there anyone you know who  has a customized MP3 playlist that they play while they are playing games and apps?
