My quest 3 sidearms are misaligned, could they be damaged?

My Quest side arm has one side that's a little higher than the other. Could this cause any problems? It's been like this for a few months now, and I'm worried because some AIs I asked said it was, and I'm really scared. I'll try to post a photo for you to see. Actually, I don't feel any discomfort or image defect with it like this. I just want to know if there's a problem.

  • Hi!

If you’re not feeling discomfort or seeing visual issues, it’s likely just a cosmetic misalignment. Still, sharing a photo could help confirm if there’s any real concern or risk of long-term wear. This might a bit helpful for you

I put a picture in the post, do you want me to send you another one?

  • Looks like you have a Bobo M3 pro on there. The arms do swivel where the power and headphone sockets are so check they are both alligned with each other otherwise you get that slant you are showing in the pic. They only swivel about 45 degrees upwards from horizontal position. Also make sure your glasses spacing indicators are both set the same as this can give the same effect but not as much as I am seeing in your pick.  And alos make sure your Bobo is connected to each arm in same postion as again this can cause the issue.

As long as the arms have a good stong fit to the head set and not loose or damaged just adjust your options above till you are happy and don't be scared AI is not always a good source of info as you can ask it the same question in different words and it will give the opposite answer.

Do I need to remove the strap to fix it? Or can I just apply force to the arm to lower it?

Here are some pics of mine with horizontal limit, 45 degree limit and how I position my Bobo. You can swivel the arms without taking off the strap. Don't force the arms if they dont move with moderate pressure otherwise you risk breaking off the arms. They are quite tight tho (mine are) so be careful. Your limits should be simliar to mine so you could probably use them as a guide.

Ideally you want them both aligned as  horizontal as possible.
