My right controller keeps disconnecting every few seconds

I’ve restarted my headset, took the battery out for multiple minutes but still doesn’t work, then while playing questcraft, I can’t use my trigger to break, but I can use it to select items.

    Hi there KnownMoose55204,

We see you are having what we think are some tracking/pairing issues with your right controller and would love to provide some troubleshooting.

Give these a try and see if you notice any improvement.

    • Make sure the play area is suitable and free of anything that may interfere with tracking
    • Check the area is well lit, with enough light to see clearly, but no direct sunlight
    • Check the area is free of small lights such as Christmas lights, or LED strips
    • Check the area is free of reflective surfaces such as mirrors, glass, or polished marble
    • Make sure there are no obstructions between the tracking cameras and the controllers
    • Make sure the tracking cameras are clean. If they need to be cleaned, follow the maintenance and care guidelines
    • Remove unsupported third-party accessories that may affect tracking or controller detection. For example: controller and headset covers, controller attachments, etc.
    • Check the batteries (Not applicable for Meta Quest Pro)
    • Remove the battery from the controller for 30 seconds
    • Try replacing the battery with a new one
    • Unpair and pair the controller to the headset

If you are still noticing pairing and input issues please send us a private message, so we can look into this further.

  • If your having issues with your right controller it could have damage in it   If it did ever have damage. And you thought oh it’s working fine it’s proabbly just  that.  Or it could just be your battery  and you need to replace it.  If that does not work you can look and see if there’s any damage in the controller and then contact meta Via there support page on a direct chat and not here.  Hope this helps you.

  • Since you’ve already restarted the headset and removed the battery for a while, the next step would be to try a fresh, high-quality battery to rule out power issues. Also, make sure your controller’s firmware is up to date through the Meta Quest settings, and check if the problem persists in other apps besides QuestCraft to see if it’s software-specific. If the trigger works in menus but not for certain actions in-game, it could be a control mapping issue—try resetting the controller bindings in QuestCraft or reinstalling the app.
