Maybe a hard reset can fix it ? I think the process is switch off the headset and then hold the volume down and power button simultaneously until you hear it beep. I had this when I first got mine a few months ago and it's been fine since. Maybe it will work and you won't need a full factory reset. No guarantee it will work for yours but worth a try. If you're using a battery headset when playing be careful that it's not overcharging the device battery. Hope it helps.
