Maybe we all suffer from this "engineers disease" that makes us neurodiverse from the general population, and there is a place for us all to work together and contribute? I know your city Mr. Jazz, my dad was military and we were stationed there when I was a young boy (Nuremberg) in fact about my first 10 years of life was in Germany because my parents liked it so much he kept going back. Baumholder, Grafenwoehr. Went back to Frankfurt in 2011. They were having the big autoshow and guy fawkes anonymous groups were walking around with his mask on and there was great rallies in the streets!
I miss the kris kringle markets and gluhwein. But get this, they sent me to FRENCH language classes! LOL! SO I can't speak a lick of german, pathetic I know! lol! What a LOST opportunity! My pal Peter lives there now and he is trying to get me to move back over to southern Germany. When I was there I was trying to see about dual citizenship and I remember there was some rule about you having to live over there I think for 10 years to get it. Well I had as a kid, I chatted with some folks and they kept telling me NO NO NO, government will say since you were living on US military bases on german soil that it won't really count! I said no we lived off the bases, my dad wanted to breathe in the culture so we always had off base housing, and they would counter, no, you are not going to get in! LOL! That whole shenzen agreement stuff really hosed my travel plans in Europe, they kicked me out after 6 months!
