New NEOGEO Mini Revealed!

Yeah, I was the same way - worked with SNK back in the day, so will have to have one of these on my desk. But only wish it had a memory card and slot!!

I used to have a Super Neo 29 Type II candy arcade cabinet which had a small lcd screen above the main crt screen.  

Looking at this I would have tried putting a Raspberry Pi hooked up to it.

Hmmmmm it does look cool but a bunch of mates bought the last neogeo handheld (wasn't cheap either) and it never had remotely as much support as expected. Came with proper sticks tho it was a nice system... But had to be jailbroke to actually get the potential out of it, in which case you may as well save cash and do what I did.

Personally I will stick with my mini icade running mame as well as my full sized mame arcade. Its good I suppose for those who want officially licenced.
So long as it has super sidekicks and neoturf masters on it.....(actually there are a ton of quality titles for neogeo)

The concept is cool, but I do agree @bigmike20vt - that I would be concerned about the support. The original SNK [Playmore} is no longer with us and has all its assets acquired by Chinese based Leyou Tech - and there is no real idea how well this mini will be supported.
