new Oculus, new questions

Hi Folks,

three questions:

1) are the drivers for DK2 in the runtime????
2) can I use the old tuscany-demo in 1920x1080?
3) how do i install the new sdk (there is no .exe)???

Please help!!!!!!!

  • hmmm not sure. if you cant find anything via search you might want to ask these questions in General Discussion forum, instead of the Lounge. lots more eyes on the GD forum.

    1) Yes, Oculus Runtime download has drivers in it. It is shown in SDK changelogs.

    0.4.0 Beta
    Introduced Oculus Runtime that is installed separately from the SDK. Runtime package includes the Oculus Config Utility, service and drivers.

    2) I guess you can use it in 1920x1080, but there won't be any positional tracking in it, as it wasn't compiled against >0.4 SDK.

    3) You don't install SDK. SDK or Software Development Kit allows developers to integrate Oculus Rift in their games. If you are not developing anything for Oculus, then you can forget about this thing. The only download you should need to get your DK2 up and running is Oculus Runtime.
