- Nope uh uh nope
- Log_a_FrogHeroic ExplorerI definitely have been telling everyone about Robo Recall and the VR experience.
In fact, random people.. lol. at my work.. seriously !!
I think it was a good investment.
I think the hurdle is crappy steam games that come out on VR. People tend to go for whatever is cheaper and steam does have a better platform for the Vive. Cheap games, Cheap Headsets.
The question is, is Robo Recall going to make more headset sales. - Shadowmask72Honored VisionaryWhat? This is like the dark corners of Youtube recommended videos.
- AnonymousUsing the Rift with flight and race Sims sold me on the idea VR. As awesome as Robo Recall is, there's Arizona Sunshine, Raw Data, Sairento VR and other equally amazing titles that came before... I normally recommend the cockpit experiences to people above other genres
- As much as I love so many other games in my Library, the fact is that now when I demo the Rift to friends/family, the first thing I do is launch Robo Recall and show people how we can grab angry robots and beat them in a multitude of creative ways. Nothing generates more laughter and excitement than beating a robot to death with his own leg, and killing other robots with the mangled remains.
- DuffvaderProtegeIt's well done. But it's like the same like Arizona Sunshine and other stuffs. If this is the future of VR Gaming, then I'm a little bit disappointed. For me, the most First Person Shooter was pretty similar to each other. Same concept, same gameplay, kinda meh. Just different theme. Zombies, Robots and what's next?
But I'm looking positive in to the future. Still waiting for the Killer VR Game. Waiting for a reveal from Valve's of the 3 VR Games they are working on. Also excited about Bethesda VR, since they are working on Fallout 4 VR and Doom VR.
Waiting for the Elites of the gaming industries making great games. A man can dream. - ExpediterExpert ProtegeArcade games even in vr are not next gen to me. Teleport only also seems like a step backwards. When I first played Sairento ( with full locomotion enabled) and ONWARD , that made me think next gen is here. Robo recal seems like it was made for casual gamers. Arizona sunshine with full locomotion / coop is also more next gen to me then Robo. Robo recall definalty has some nice features to show newby VR friends what can be done.
I hope eveything out of oculus studios is not FORCED teleport. It really is the worst I can't stand it. Looking at killing floor incursion I am so disappointed that as it stands it's looking to be a teleport only - CrashFuConsultantTechnically speaking that last poll option IS correct... Though, presumably Facebook high-command was never specifically asked "Would you like to spend 10 mil on wildlife conservation OR would you like to spend it to help establish VR as a lasting entertainment medium" ... Talk about a tough moral choice.
Now, where were we? Oh yeah, Robo Recall. The game is literally what people have spent decades imagining future video games would be like. I mean, other than the Japanese, who all thought we'd have our brains interfaced directly with our computers by now, and either be addicted to Second Life or have our consciousnesses accidentally trapped inside generic fantasy MMOs.
Given those alternatives, Robo Recall seems a bit healthier a hobby. Better exercise, too. - n3cr0-0AdventurerI say the last few releases that Oculus has dropped has seemed very promising to me. Robo-Recall, Arizona Sunshine, Raw Data, Dead and Buried are my top list of games I must keep installed.
The arcade feel of Robo Recall seems well well done; however when I hear "arcade" I can't help but think of SPT and RR is far from SPT. The teleport I believe will change to full locomotion over time its just because they are pandering to what we said about motion sickness a year ago. We didn't realize that we simply get used to it.
I play this RR daily just because it never seems like the same mission and love being creative in it. People ask me what games I'm playing now and they always look at me weird when I give them the list... I have to end the statement with "It's VR sorry I don't play anything 2d". - n3cr0-0AdventurerBTW Poll master I love how you live up to your reputation... keep that sh!t up
