  • If you're not a developer, I highly recommend you wait until the consumer version Rift is available for sale, sometime this Fall.

What a lot of people DON'T tell you about the DK2:
    - Basic PC troubleshooting may be required for setup.
    - Very few games work easily with the DK2.
    - Many games require additional, third party software to work in VR.
    - You need a quality desktop computer running Windows 7 or Windows 8, 2 USB 2.0 ports (at least one powered), and a dedicated, DirectX 11 compatible graphics card (GTX 970 or better) with DVI-D or HDMI graphics output.

GTX 970 or higher, HDMI 1.3, i5 processor. Stick with Nvidia and Intel for the moment.

Alien Isolation, Minecraft, Portal 2, Elite Dangerous, Half Life 2, Project Cars. Plus a whole bunch of demos.

That's be my recommended spec, and recommended games right now.

You don't need anything else. Just a PC and the DK2. A wired 360 pad will be very handy though. DK2 requires one HDMI input and two USB 3 connectors, IIRC.
