Given that they're up to start open sellings (implying there will be plenty of devices available) in just a month, I think they could be setting up manufacturing lines to produce their own counterfeit Rifts, but who knows. If that's the case, knowing that they already ripping off insane amounts of money, I'm positive that units will be assembled from very cheap devices and will suffer from low quality and malfunctions, giving the Oculus Rift bad name in Russia.

Knowing such tendencies in CIS countries, you should really expect it. Juse see an example: the only NES available in Russia was Dendy - a Chinese hardware clone, and obviously, all game cartridges were pirate versions.
