Our Comunity project using Oculus Rift

Dear All,

My name's Hung and we are the developers team in Viet Nam. We just started a comunity project for help Autism Kid in our country (and also in other countries as well, if we can)

We found out autistic children have positive improvement when they have more chance to approach the technology which is encouraged in all of current therapies such as FLOORTIME, ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), COMPC (Communication Picture), PCS (Picture Communication Symbol), etc.
With our idea, we convert the current therapy treatments for Autistic Children into multi lesson plans that can play on Oculus Rift. For help autistic kids interact with the World, peoples, animals...in very realistic way, then step by step help them to have more confident, improve their soft skill..
Our goal is to reach expand on existing treatment using the modern technology we have today to reach as many autistic children as possible. WE can't make autistic children become normal 100% BUT WE - YOU can bring them socialization.

    Hi there, Hung Huu,
    I have worked with autistic kids here in Australia and it's always a delight to see their faces light up when using the new technology that we "normal" people take for granted.
    I'm wondering in what form would the help required take?
    Are you looking for programs, games etc that are Oculus Rift based ?
    Maybe a donation or two?
    If you can expand and explain about your requests it will certainly help others to understand what you are asking for.

    Hello Enzedda,
    thanks for your attention. Here's your project plans summary:

    Phase 1: Raise a basic fund (80k) via crowdfunding network, all moneys will using for:
    1/ Developing an application (follow Autism training program from doctor) - we had coders and designers in our team, and we also started on few prototypes already.
    2/ Buy equipments - almost raised money will use for this (computers, oculus vr, leapmotion..etc..) and install it with our program (ALL FREE)for few Autism Clinic that we already contact and they agreed to use our programs.

    Phase2: if we succeed phase1, will expand the fund rasing plan to next level, for what?
    1/ build a hi tech clinic for Autism kid - and this will be a non- profit group/company
    2/ scale up our project to other countries, become an international group for helping Autistic childs-also helping connect peoples want to apply hitech in medical, education..

    This sounds like a very good thing. From my understanding the behavioral therapy is very important in helping autistic children develop their verbal and social skills early, but it's expensive and difficult to get the necessary amount of hours in. This seems like it would not only be much more cost effective, but it would also greatly reduce the strain on parents of autistic children if this sort of thing could be done at home.
