Palmer was right!
Hey guys!
Ive been obsessed with the Rift and have been watching a ton of videos. I ordered the DK2 to possibly develop some videos or games and of course to play games with it.
I went to a meetup and tried VR and the DK1 for the first time. I was sooo pumped and thought I would get the same graphics and experience that I saw in other videos posted on youtube.
I felt like the graphics weren't that great and the screen door effect made it worse. Yes rift coaster had a few good experiences and Senza Peso as well.
So it got me thinking to what Palmer said. If your not a developer DONT buy the DK2. After trying the DK1 I cancelled my DK2 order the same night. I felt like the DK1 was ok but still alot of work needed. I realize the DK2 will have better graphics and less screen door. Also if I did get the DK2 id need to upgrade the PC WHICH wasn't a factor at all. I just feel like Palmer is right. If you want a solid CLEAN experience then you should wait for the CV1 hopefully by then the games will look exactly like how they look on the computer screen and not blurry, screen door and so on.
The experience was cool though and I met some cool people.
But now im in the wait and see mindset instead of "Heres my money TAKE IT"
HOWEVER im still obessed to see videos and so on and am still excited for Oculus!! I love the idea of VR
