  • "More than 13 billion light years away"
Not much more, since the limit of how far we can see is 13.8 billion light years. Any further than that and we'd be seeing before the big bang.
That also means those galaxies are only 800 million years old in the photo. Imagine how they might have changed in the 13 billion years it took for the light to reach us!

Space is pretty damn big. :)
  • The odds prove it. Intelligent life exists on other planets, some of those planets have humanoids, some have dinosaurs, some have lifeforms we' can barely imagine.

Is there something bigger than space? Perhaps not, according to this article about mapping the universe:

"One of the reasons we care is that a flat universe has implications for whether the universe is infinite," Schlegel said. "That means — while we can't say with certainty that it will never come to an end — it's likely the universe extends forever in space and will go on forever in time. Our results are consistent with an infinite universe."

By comparison, the Earth is a sub-microscopic speck of dust and we are the mites who live upon it. It makes me wonder what lives in the very air around us?
