I did think about it, but from what I have heard the 780 classified oc's like a dream, and with a little bump on the clock I should be able to get it up to and past 290x performance without trouble.
I have to admit I'm a little biased when it comes to EVGA's Nvidia stuff, but not for any particular reason other than the fact I've stuck with them for so long.
In the last 6 years I've gone from a GTX 285, to a GTX 580 and a GTX 660 SC, and now to the GTX 780 Classified, every single one an EVGA card.

Edit: Well it looks like I was wrong about the 290x. After doing some more research I can see it is actually more on par with the 780 ti.
