I've had the DK1 & 2 showing support for Oculus and the Rift. I was in great anticipation of the Consumer Version. Then I find the price is close to AUD$1000 by the time it gets to us here in Australia!
I worried when I saw the commercial partner Facebooks joining the party. It looks like I was right and the green eyes of greed has appeared. Oculus/Facebooks may have shot themselves in the foot with this announcement of the price for the consumer version of Rift. A lot of people are grumbling and talking with their feet.
