That whole crew from 2012-2014 has earned a bit of something here and there. Some earned a Staff job, others earned the right to forum troll, etc  :p

Actually, that thread starts in August 2009 with the apparent first interaction between Palmer and Cyber.

Yeah, I was a big poster (and eventually a moderator) on the MTBS forums, where Palmer first appeared asking questions about VR. Have been into VR since the 90's but I got more into it around early 2000's with 3D glasses and some of the consumer VR headsets that were available at the time. Me and Palmer were friends from the forum and, after Oculus got started, he sent me a message asking if I wanted a job and it seemed like a cool opportunity. A number of Oculus employees are actually old-timers and all met together on that forum. Been at Oculus over 4 years now, when I started it was only like 15 people. Kind of a crazy ride.

Question to Cyber.
Do you get any cool benefits in your job at Oculus? I know you do the forum but do you get freebies?
Free games, free headsets, is there a gym in your workplace... swimming pool.... free rental property.

My question is do you go to the Oculus offices to work or something or do you get to work from home? Have you been to their offices? Is it cool like going to google or something?

Cyber has mentioned in the past that he works in the head office (he talked about the move from the original Oculus headquarters to the new office on the Facebook campus, I believe).

Question to Cyber: what did you think when you first heard Carmack was joining the team? Did you have any contact with him on MTBS3D or with the early prototype work before he became CTO at Oculus?

Yeah, I work with Oculus at the main Facebook campus in the SF bay area.
