I have thought about getting a 3rd sensor, but wanted to ask the group if there is any experiences that are notable with the 3rd sensor that would justify the purchase...

Much better coverage. Can turn around in your virtual world without hiccups or tracking issues. The 360 setup in VR imho is a whole different experience than the front-facing setup.
