Ray-Ban Meta not listening for follow-up questions?

I did select "Respond without "Hey Meta""  - which is supposed to listen for another prompt.

However: The glasses pick up and respond just fine to "Hey Meta" , then they hear my questions/commands just fine - som the hardware works perfectly.  Once Meta AI is done speaking, the LED goes out, and any questions I may instantly ask are ignored. (IDK if the LED should stay on for a while while it's listening for a follow-up)
