Request for Desktop Access to Meta Communities Chat

I’m reaching out to raise a concern and a request regarding the current limitations of the Communities chat feature within your platform.
At the moment, this experience is restricted to mobile devices and VR, with no proper desktop access. This creates a significant barrier for users who prefer—or rely on—larger screens for communication.
There are several real-world scenarios where this limitation becomes a problem:
- Users who do not want to rely on their phones constantly
- Situations where a phone is unavailable (dead battery, lost access, etc.)
- Accessibility needs, such as visually impaired users who benefit from larger displays and desktop tools
- Users who simply communicate more efficiently with a keyboard and full-screen interface
Meta Communities is not just another messaging feature—it’s a genuinely meaningful social space.
