RiftCon and Possible Locations

Hey Oculus Rift users/Devs,

For those of you not aware the Oculus Rift has filed a Trademark with the US Patent and Copyright office for a convention. Just thought I would give my 2 Cents for a Rift Convention location or two for a Oculus operated convention.

Salt Lake City, Utah, United States -

Why Salt Lake City
- A Middle Ground for all of us North American people.
- Large Convention halls that can be rented out.
- Next to an International Airport for Non United States Rift Users to arrive at.
- Lots of Hotel Space due to nearby ski resorts.
- Top Notch Medical care at the University of Utah Hospital and various others.

Where do you think that an Oculus Convention should take place?

    Los Angeles. I'd probably bet on it too, considering it's right up the highway from Oculus HQ.

    Vegas would be nice. Would be nice to see a event held here that I could actually get into!

    Assuming Riftcon wouldn't be exclusive to industry and such...

    What?! Trademarked? Is that some process that involves attorneys and enforcers with guns if I don't "conform" From our "open sauce hmd" hero Palmer? I was going to do a riftcon in Seattle with BillG and not ask anyones permission! Foiled Again!



    Take us out mike mcdonald, sweet freedom! (I vote for utah too, those mormons would probably love polyamory VR girlfriends/wives yes?)

    This would be pretty awesome if this actually happens, I'd guess it'd happen in LA where most tech related conventions happen. I do wish more tech companies did conventions outside the US though
