As above neither method is perfect and which is better/worse involves many factors so neither can be universally better/worse.
Although I suppose that extending power has fewer issues with interference, attenuation and possibly even lag. - Percy1983Superstar

I don't know about you. but where I live for sure the electric wall sockets are more common then USB ones..

Personally I would rather have low voltage USB extensions around my room compared the high voltage mains extensions I would need for the light houses.
In my bat cave there is more USB ports than wall sockets and they are all that far a part, so for a rear camera/lighthouse I would need to extend usb/power at very similar lengths.

Is this a complete non-story?
More a Discussion Topic, I think you will find! ;) - JaimieVandenberHeroic ExplorerStuff gets patented all the time and never makes it to market. We'd have flying cars, perpetual-motion free energy and transparent credit-card size phones by now if they did.
On top of which, as I've consistently said the PSVR tracking works ridiculously well for the bodged up low-res solution that they've put in place. Even Move space tracking is good - it's the angle tracking from the shitty old accelerometers that's not, and Tumble succesfully coaxes competence out of them even then.
I'm not seeing any groundswell of returns for tracking, only disappointment about resolution. Is this a complete non-story? - kevinw729Honored Visionaryhttp://uploadvr.com/new-patent-suggests-sony-working-vive-like-tracking-psvr/
For those that wanted more info on the Sony Patent... oh and a big hi to whoever at UploadVR that monitored this discussion ;) - chtanProtegeThere are some talking about light house running on battery pack. Problem solved.
