Best deal in years, lol - but found a totally new pair (mint-in-a-box) of my favorite headphones - even *much* better than the Index speakers - these headphones go down to 12 Hz and have 50 mm drivers (Index speakers can't go below 40 Hz and use 37.5 mm drivers):
These are now collector's item - originally the cost over here was $1200 - 1500, but I think you could get them in the US for about $800. Still these are my favorite headphones for (surround) movies. The do light up like a Christmas tree, lol
Even if they do not support Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos is uncompressed, and Dolby Atmos sounds awesome in these headphones.
This was not an easy purchase. The seller in Nebraska allowed me to participate in his auction, and I won them on Ebay - but for a much lower price than I and probably the seller anticipated. Even used ones sell for at much higher price. And then the seller stopped responding and didn't add my country to the list of available destinations. Thus I could not pay - and lost the ability to give negative feedback.
What to do now? It's not uncommon for sellers not to ship if they got a too low price. Ebay representatives couldn't help. Ended up contacting my aunt in Chicago and she didn't mind to receive the package and forward it to me. Thus added her address to my Ebay account, and then I could pay for the headphones - and suddenly the seller responded, lol. Did cost another $100 for the shipping - and another $100 for chocolates to my aunt, but totally worth it.
In short they have arrived and are as awesome as I hoped for. And completely new:
Actually this was just for backup - I already own one pair, but it's getting worn:
