Vinyl or CD?
The current divide between
lovers of DK2 and lovers of CV1 reminds me of the seemingly endless debate, started
decades ago but which is still continuing, on the ‘merits of vinyl in the
digital age’. The Cavaliers encamped on the vinyl rump of the argument were
convinced that it produced a richer, more vibrant sound, and perhaps they had
an aesthetic fondness for scratches as well. The Roundheads, on the other hand,
rejected the wonderful art covers, didn’t care for vinyl adoration, and found
themselves slumming it with CDs instead.
I admit, I have a liking
for analogue and DK2.
