Virtual Oculus Lounge

Is anybody interested in hanging out in an Oculus Rift Virtual Lounge?
I've been kicking the idea around.

It is incredibly easy to just hop in and create rooms using something like the unity bootcamp photon networking demo
but I was wondering what would make this special enough for folks to actually use to interact and hang out together
in a virtual space.

    You might want to check out the Virtual Cinema / Conference room / Lounge from Namielus:

    In an other Forum he speculation about adding an Virtual Arcade as well, its allready pretty impressive to my mind :)

    Yes, we're already talking about it. I've followed his stuff for quite a while.
    However, what this would be is specifically a VR room for Oculus VR chat and discussion.

    would like to see hydra support here for avatars. would replace emoticons.

    Adding some kind of face recognition to the Rift that could detect emotion and transfer it to the avatar model would really increase immersion!

    The same idea occurred to me after seeing this forum area. If someone is doing this I could help by doing some art assets.

    I fully support the overall concept and I will back it... When the avatars are better.
    Floating heads and floating hands aren't up to par when compared to the many examples of full body avatars on the forum including shadows and arms. When the project matches that or a better implementation I'm in.

    I like to encourage people up front when I can afford it. They WizDish is a bit out of my price range when I am not sure it will work for me. But the Oculus Virtual Lounge is not that expensive, and early support will HELP it grow into what you want.
