Virtuix Omni - is this a joke??????

Very disappointing for anyone who backed it, I'm sure. But very classy of them to offer interest over the time that they had customers' funds in their posession. 

As a sidenote, is this thing even officially supported by any games? Or does it feel as hacky as trying to get VorpX to run games reasonably well? If it's the latter I don't feel I would be missing too much...

Considering it is 105KG on a wooden pallet and costs $200 just to ship within the US, imagine how much international shipping would cost!
Plus you need a forklift to move it around before you unpack it. :)

Given I was given an estimate of $800 usd for a 5 lb light fitting from the US,  I imagine shipping would be expensive, yeah.

I never believed on this technology : sliding with specific shoes to simulate walking. I saw so many people trying to be natural on this stuff and falling. this looks like it was a great invention..i see why its an issue now, i suppose once its out replica can be made a bit like vr glass headsets

Too small a space.  It looks like you can't lift your weapon up when you are facing behind you.

The Virtuix Omni is no good with the bar all the way around at waist height.

This is going to take some time but we'll get there eventually.

This is very unfortunate. I wrote a research proposal where one of the modes of operation would use the Virtuix Omni.  The proposal was accepted and we got the grant with good funding. Fortuantely there is an alternative for Europe (or at least the UK).
