vizionvr made me think, fire iribe, hurting zucks legacy
Love him or hate him, zuck provided an optional social media app that gives lots of bored peeps fleeting purpose. He is gonna give away 50 billiin. Gonna give free Internet to third worlders. Helped develop some of the most advanced ai on the planet (wether it enslave us skynet style or helps us yet to be seen) but he is doing shit, porgressing. There is no effing way someone as loose with money as zuck to do good would be worried about very meager profits of a very small vr exclusive. That is Brendan iribe trademark! (Go ask onlives steve perlman, inventor of quicktime to tell you what a loser iribe is) I am sure when iribe sold to facebook he said we want autonomy, hands off zuck. But iribe is making huge wounds in the force to preserve his role as ceo, retain his power, but it is not good for vr or the planet. Zuck needs to show some balls, fire iribe, he is wrecking oculus and the many developers and customers depending on them. Zuck doesn't need iribe for the long 20 year mass consumer timeline. He needs fresh meat, new ideas, and someone with much better reputation and much better liked than iribe. Iribe has cost facebook and oculus so many inroads, so much goodwill, that firing him would do wonders. Maybe like hp or msft, put an Indian or a woman at the helm. When the rift up upgrade people told me about the threats that iribe was spewing against them with lawsuits, I just thought my god, zuck is going to let this company die if he don't get rid of iribe. As palmy famously mentioned leadership not too long ago, a company ceo that is a pathetic leader will rot the organization to the core. Iribe does not connect with this community, he does not connect with the developers, customers, enthusiasts, or passionate vr people. Carmack connects, luckey connects, cyber connects, but iribe is taking them all down too, he is an awful ceo. Please don't let oculus die under him zuck, think of your daughter, fire Brendan iribe, the marketing damage he has done to you, facebook, and oculus is disgusting.
