VR isn’t dead. It was just taking a nap

I don’t see the problem with VR. A lot of technologies, like cellphones, had only a small but devoted following in the beginning until they took off. 

You need a lot of space to play VR and maybe you could do 1 hour in a headset. They just need more fun games. A lot are pretty crappy tbh

I have barely gamed outside of Vr since getting my rift in mid 2014 . I never had any doubt it was dying.

As for content. I already have more content than I know what to do with, some stuff I bought 6 months ago I still have not fired up yet.

My longest session without breaks in VR is 8 hours, my longest session with breaks is 12. My Average session is 3-4 hours.

As for the games being shitty ... this is basically just PC gaming in general, of all the indie/AAA games out there about 1-2% of it is actually worth-while. The same is true for VR, just instead of 100 out of 10 000 games being good, instead 10 out of 1000 games are good. So there are less games but the "ratio" is still the same.

Find the games you like and just play the shit out of them ... I actually like it better, having 10 games I want to play is actually more realistically manageable than having 100 games I want to play.

I bought my rift in the summer sale in August and it's been an amazing experience. I use it absolutely every day, but it's more than just for gaming. The educational experiences are superb. I loved Mission ISS, Apollo 11 Vr and Boulevard especially, spending several hours in each. I now use my VR for exercise and thanks to some awesome fitness titles on the steam store average around 600 minutes of exercise a week (mostly boxing) according to my Fitbit and around 11,000 steps a day. I've not watched traditional porn since I discovered Wankz VR and the games that I've played and completed so far Arkitka, Superhot, Chronos, Edge of Nowhere, Gallery Episode One and Ethan Carter have all really absorbed me. Add to that titles I dip in and out of like The Climb and Dirt Rally which I love I'm never short of stuff to do. In fact my problem is finding the time to actually get through all the games I have. Going to start Lone Echo this weekend!

The only area where I feel the current generation of VR isn't ready yet is desktop browsing and watching films/tv. Even with supersampling enabled the quality is too pixelated for me to really enjoy yet. But that will come with the next generation I'm sure.

Once we have smaller, more comfortable headsets, with better resolutions and FOV, and are wireless, with effective inside out tracking I'll probably never take the damn thing off again!

I think Sony selling a milliion PSVR units in half a year is a good sign for VR. Skyrim VR alone is going to drive a ton of sales. It concerns me though that with PSVR giving a similar experience to the Rift (minus the tracking but with much less technical issues) and no CV2 out until 2019+ that the rift interest of new users may stall out.
