VR's biggest concept missout.

With VR's hitting the marked, there is a new generation of gameplay coming. But, there is one thing that has been completely missed out on and I have yet to see. It is the realization that you have left the room and entered a new dimension!
The thing that has been missed out on is the fact that there should be a camera attached to the VR gear that displays your room, that once you enter a game gives a visualizing effect of your room changing the environment into the games environment.
This effect could be like your room breaking apart into small fractions, changing to the game.

Just imagine your room falling apart like a broken mirror into pieces. This would more then deliver the fact that you have left your safe home and entered something new. The immersion effect would be enhanced by a lot. The same goes for quitting the game.
I'm not saying that every game needs to have his own visualization effect for this feature, but the main gear should have an overlay for this kind of effect regardless of game. There should be no problem with integrating a camera into the gear with mobile phone technology.

That feature alone would change the immersion for myself by far. What about you?

  • That'd be an Augmented Reality thing, but it would be a pretty cool "game loading" transition effect.

Better yet, take the view of the user from an external camera, and "ReBoot" them into the game avatar, lol.

You just won the internet today.  I remember watching that show as a kid so much as I loved computers a lot back then.
