Why was SAO picked for first mmo?

I just think that culturally it's very controversial.
I know Palmer is a big supporter of SAO but them folks at IBM Japan are NUTS for letting the proposal go through

as if the Rift do not have enough controversy already.
was it so difficult for Mr.Luckey to have a partnership with the people
that made maybe MapleStory?

its a show for adults, so yes it has adult situations and explores storylines that make you think.

are you trying to infer that the game is going to be a sexual assault simulator? because thats just ludicrous.

Adult situation where? what the fock
what world do you live in? it's extremely non-adult and inappropriate
there are a billion other ones they could choose, but it has to be SAO
I don't want to try and understand.

It's not going to be a real MMO, its just a tech demo to show off IBM technology. Just a big PR stunt unfortunately!

I like the idea that they chose an MMO, but it's sad that they went for SAO and forgot the amazing series, Dot Hack. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEOaRxMvKo8

Is true that  Dot Hack whould be a better "first VMMO" since the every Hack series is a totally different story, wile SAO is just asuna and kirito adventures... i mean, in SAO everybody want to be kirito or asuna, in HACK you can want to be a lot more ppl :)
