Same thing happened to me.. Can I recommend something? Get yourself a halo style headstrap.. It does not depend on the anchor bar which is very weak and is far more comfortable too. The anchor bar is part of the Quest headset itself so you would have to return. Much better to get the halo strap. They're not expensive, you can get mice ones very cheaply online.  Make sure it attaches to the headset arms not anchor bar.  Here is a pic of my one.
