air link not working anymore

i used to use air link all the time and it worked fine but recently i had to get a new Wi-Fi router because mine was a bit outdated but after i got it all set up every time i try and use air link its just stuck on searching for pc's. i have the same Wi-Fi connected on both my computer and vr. 

so far ive tried:

reconnecting my headset through the meta quest link app on my computer

restarting my pc and my headset multiple times

tried forgetting the Wi-Fi and re entering the password

turned developer mode off and back on again

so far i cant seem to find why it stopped working, any help would be great, thanks!

    1. Check Your Network with RouteThis Helps

    Since Air Link relies entirely on your Wi-Fi network to communicate between devices, it’s essential to ensure your network is optimized. We recommend using RouteThis Helps, a diagnostic tool designed to analyze your setup and highlight any potential issues.


    2. Re-Pair Air Link

    Sometimes, a fresh pairing can do wonders. Here’s how to reset the Air Link connection:

    On your Quest headset, go to Settings and toggle Air Link off

    Restart both your PC and Quest headset

    Once restarted, follow the steps in our guide to Set up and connect Quest Link and Air Link to re-pair your devices

    3. Full System Reboot

    If the issue persists, a complete reset of your system components may help:

    Restart your router

    Restart your PC

    Restart your Quest headset

    This sequence ensures all devices reconnect freshly to the network and can help clear any lingering connection issues.

    4. Try Another Wi-Fi Connection

    To rule out network-specific issues, try connecting your headset to a different Wi-Fi network. You can also test Air Link with another PC or in a different location to see if the issue persists.

    Additionally, try downloading an app from the  Quest Store to confirm whether your headset’s Wi-Fi is functioning properly outside of Air Link.
