Android Recovery

We have the Meta Quest 3S, It says Android Recovery"can't load android system your data may be corrupt. If you continue to get this message to Factory data reset and erase all data stored on this device. Somehow it is not backed up and we have a lot of data apps and money invested that will be lost. Is there a solution ? Thank you

    press the volume b utton and select factory resset and then log into ur account and u will not lose ur games and u will not lose ur money

    Hey ChickenNuggetMaster11, 

    We know this isn't an ideal situation and we can appreciate your concern with factory resetting. Before you try that last-resort option, we'd suggest using our Software Update Tool to force an update onto your headset first!

    Please make sure your headset is fully charged before you use the tool. If that doesn't work, your only option may be to factory reset as prompted. Naglis is right, though - all of your purchased apps are tied to your account, so you won't lose those! However, certain apps may have automatically backed up your progress. You can find out what apps are supported by Cloud Backup here.

      FYI, this page says it doesn't work in mobile browsers when I try to visit it in firefox or safari on my mac.

      so i can just factory reset it and log back in??? will my account be the same and stuff??? im kinda scared to do this

        SebsCool10​ all your purchases, friend list, chats and so on are tied to your account - not to the headset.

        So, if you're  using the same account to setup the Quest after factory resetting it, or if you buy another device and set it up with said account, you just have to re-download your games.🙂

        Just make sure that cloud backup is enabled - normally it's set by default - so you don't lose your game progress.
