    Hello there!

We saw your post about not being able to update your apps and games while connecting your Meta Quest 3 to your pc. We want you to come back to the Metaverse as soon as possible so, we would like you to try the following steps as possible solutions to your issue:

    •  Check for Meta Quest Link specific issues (if using PC Link):
If you are using Meta Quest Link, ensure your PC and Quest 3 are on the same network subnet, the PC is unlocked and not asleep, and you have a strong signal strength.
    •  Reinstall the Meta Quest App on your PC:
If you're using the PC app for Link, a corrupted installation could cause issues; try uninstalling and reinstalling it.
    •  Disable firewalls/antivirus temporarily:
Your computer's security software might be interfering with the connection; try temporarily disabling them to see if it resolves the update issue.

You can find more information about this feature and how to troubleshoot it on our public article.

We hope these steps will prove to be a solution to your ongoing issue, if you find yourself struggling with your PCVR after these steps, send us a quick message through the following link, we will be more than happy to assist you!

thank you for your answer, however I use the ethernet cable directly in from internet to the headset.

Oh! Thanks for the clarification, we are sorry about the misunderstanding.

While there are adapters that allow connecting the headset directly to a router, this isn't a supported feature from Meta. Your device might appear as connected but apps and games won't be able to update since it isn't a real connection.

However, while you cannot directly connect your Meta Quest 3 headset to a router via an Ethernet cable, you can optimize your PC VR streaming experience by ensuring your PC is connected to the router via Ethernet, and then streaming wirelessly to your Quest 3 headset using dedicated software like Virtual Desktop or Meta's Air Link.

We hope this message will clarify the situation for you, please, let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with!
