Blinking Display using BoBoVR headset with Quest 3

i have the Quest 3 VR and i'm using it with the BoboVR headset adapter. i've been using it for about 2 months now and everything worked GREAT! couldn't have  been happier. but for the past 2 weeks, when i'm using it will (at random times after i start using it) the display will start blinking on and off at a rate that is a bit faster than once per second. it would continue until i rebooted the session. yesterday, i found out that if i unplugged the battery cable from the goggles the blinking would stop, and i could plug the battery cable back in and be fine after that.

has anyone had this experience with the BoBoVr headset?

thanks for your help in advance,

Russ from Florida, USA

Yes, but it has nothing to do with the Bobo headstrap. It happens to me with my Q3 exactly as you described, but I have the Elite headstrap w/battery. The glitch also happens if I plug the charger straight into the headset without external battery. Unplugging the charger stops the display blinking glitch. For me, it started after a Link update 9 days ago; I had no other software or app updates on my headset.

    It's a widespread issue:

Quest 3 display goes black every second! | Meta Community Forums - 1364123

Possible solution: Update Link to v85.0.0.223.552 and see if the problem goes away. There was a new update just now, but after another update yesterday, I was able to play standalone games (I didn't test PCVR) for over 6 hours without any display glitch! Weird, I know, what has Link got to do with this glitch????

Possible solution (hypothetical, untested): shut down your Link PC and play standalone games; see if the problem goes away (if you try this, please let me know if it works, as I suspect the Link PC is somehow sending a signal to the headset that is causing the display to blink if it is charging).
