brand new quest 3 fully charges only to 98%

Hello everyone! hope you guys are having a good Christmas so far if you do celebrate it. Just earlier this morning (12/25/25) i received a quest 3 as a present and I'm loving it so far, but the battery claims the full percentage is 98%. I thought that was kinda weird since it's a brand new device that just got taken out of the box and setup only a few hours ago. Can someone please help me?

 

UPDATE: It charged to 100% but the green light for some reason turned on at 98% so it sort of confused me.

    random_exe​ That is perfectly normal my friend. There is a little bit of battery protection built in that slows down the charge at 98%. It actually starts to slow down after 95%, but more when it hits 98%. If you leave it for a long time it will eventually go to 100%, but I don't recommend it. You will only lose a couple of minutes of play anyway. There is nothing wrong with your headset. Enjoy it and have a great Christmas! 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎅
