broken device unable to link to an account

my meta quest 2 is broken. i have been trying to contact support about this issue for some (>6) hours now but every route tells me there are no devices associated with my account. perhaps this is true: meta's account management practices are grotesque and repulsive and i have several login pairs which are hard to differentiate. when i try and link my device to my account by serial number, i am told "Support is not available for this device." i now cannot use my device in any way.

this is unacceptably poor customer service.
