My brand new oculus is extremely distorted and shows artefacts, cants get any support based on this, the official website just gives out errors, I’m about to refund this garbage I’ve been trying this for nearly two weeks.

What game is that? If that a PCVR game, or a native game saved on the headset? Does it happen in ALL games? You say it doesn't happen in the virtual environment and user interface, is that correct? What headset are you using and what software version is it on?
Extreme image distortions only when in games, when I’m not it a game it works fine without an issue.
