Cannot see menu

Hello, when my sons login to their profiles on our 3s it shows the background picture and they can’t get into pass through mode. When they press the menu button it very faintly shows a menu but not enough to actually use it.  I made sure we have all the updates. Restarting shows us the menu for a few seconds then the background image pops up again and we can’t do anything.  I created a new profile and same thing happens.

  • Only fix that i know for it is factory resetting, and for some reason, creating multiple accounts in quest causes to lag and your issue might be because of multiple accounts

    The release notes for v79 state the following:

    Adaptive lighting is a new feature that enables precise tuning of VR panels to blend with pass-through to improve perceptual comfort. This ensures that the colour and brightness of the VR panels align naturally with the surroundings, creating a visually harmonious and comfortable experience. This helps make graphics feel like a natural part of the real world.

    This makes me wonder if you have this update and the adaptive lighting feature is making your menus too dim. All I can suggest is to make sure your room is very well lit, and the headset cameras are clean and unobstructed. If you are able to get into the headset settings menu, perhaps there is a feature to turn off the new adaptive lighting. Also, maybe you need to turn up the brightness setting of your headset.
