Cant access 2FA code because I got a new phone number

I recently got a new phone and when I tried to log into my oculus account it would not let me fully sign in because it would say it needs a 2FA code and sends it to my old phone number that I can't access anymore. Im not logged in on my pc, my phone, or anything like that just the headset itself, and it is super frustrating because I couldn't even contact meta support since in order to contact them you need to be logged into an email thats linked with a headset but I can't. So i couldnt get support at all I was just stuck.

Thankfully I found out about forums and now I can post my problem here. I see others with similar problems and I am seeking for support or guidance on how I can resolve this.

I just checked and I see that i am in fact logged into my oculus account on my pc, but only on the Meta Horizon link app, not the website which is what I need to log in on so I can take off 2FA and finally log in on my phone. I want to be able to cast and use other features but I am not able to because of this. Please if anyone knows of a solution let me know.

By the way, I use a facebook email for my meta account, which I still have access too. I can show any valid information that I can to prove I have ownership of this account. My meta account is linked with my facebook account but I dont believe I can resolve the issue through my facebook settings.

    Nope, that's not necessary. You can do that without being logged in.😉

    the other option is sending a PM MetaStoreHelp​ here in the forum.

    Click on their name, then click the "message" button.

    Both ways are fine to get help with your 2FA.

      I never knew about this thank you for letting me know, I couldn't find it. I already contacted MetaStoreHelp and they've replied, hopefully this can all get sorted out, thank you still.
