Hi! New version of firmvare (v81) doesn't exists option like "Passthrough->Enable passthrough double tap on quest" And now, if I double tap on my quest, it enable passthrough. How can I fix that? Maybe some adb command or smth else or only wait new update?
bump, same problem. there is no "double tap for passthrough" option in v81 on quest 2. never enabled before, but appears after update and no way to disable it, would like to have at least adb command

Today I learned that an update was released, but after installing it and rebooting my glasses, I still can't find this option. It's sad.

I've even bugreport it weeks ago everywhere and they still do nothing. This feature missfires a lot for me. it always close my virtual desktop without an reason. like really frequently
Same issue, talked to support, they have no idea wtf is going on and are suggesting "factory resets" to fix the problem.
The problem is that the option no longer exists, and some genius thought it'd be a good idea to leave it on by default and remove the option to get rid of it.
God forbid you ACCIDENTALLY touch your headset. Just throw off all the tracking you might have in Steam link or other to-pc-vr software.

Sorry to hear about it. We'll have to wait until someone on the forum threads actually reads this and sends something to the development team, or to keep sharing it somehow, maybe tagging META on twitter to get them to actually READ this thread and fix the setting.
So I had an employee in live chat yesterday tell me they would have someone look out about this issue.
I got the email from a support representative.
The following solutions they provided was:
Turn off the double tap passthrough setting that doesn't exist.
Turn off the double tap passthrough setting that doesn't exist. (By another associate)
Turn on advance settings and turn on "Enable Navigator", a setting that ALSO does not exist.
Factory Reset the headset.
So safe to say talking to support is getting no where, and we just have to wait for a developer to respond.
I DMed some of the development workers (specifically for this update) the link to this thread to see if they'll address it, but no luck of a response yet.
Let's keep hoping.
I don't think I can ever genuinely understand what's been happening with Meta firmware over the recent batch of updates, just mindless irreversible mistakes that keeps getting pushed regardless. How do you even expect third-party manufacturers to ever adopt Horizon OS if it stays like this?
Just a year ago I would've wholeheartedly endorsed a Quest 2 for anyone looking for a taste of VR. Now the case for Android XR/SteamOS has never been stronger

Perhaps everyone should use the bug reporting option under Quick Settings on their headset to report the missing toggle as a bug. If Meta were to get enough reports, they might reconsider putting the toggle back 🤷.

Why in god’s name would you all REMOVE this feature? Did anyone literally ask for it? No we didn’t. Does anyone at that company actually use their products like an actual customer or we just going with the “If it ain’t broke try to fix it” approach? Seriously. This messes up my Vive Trackers when I BUMP the headset. Thanks for taking away the thing no one asked to be taken away. Really smart. Total 200iq play there. Genius move. Anything else we want to tamper with or is this just the beginning?
