I used meta horizon several times, not since a few months.
I wanted to try Star Citizen in VR but the app on the PC said I needed pilots, I checked and didn't find what was the problem, I then uninstall the app and now I'm trying to reinstall it and every times at the end of the setup it says that there is a problem and I need to restart.
I tried several solutions but nothing worked and now I just can't install the app
Welcome aboard - i think thats a problem especially with some windows versions - for me i have win11 25h2 where it didnt worked. but on my old win 10 24h1 laptop i can install it.

i recommend u to try alvr at the meantime - but just for the info: u need to put your quest in developer mode and activate usb debugging to use an wired connection - its basically usb tethering then.

Thanks for your response, but my wifi is quite unstable so I wanted to link the Quest by cable, guess I will need a new dongle

why not put out an older build for download ? this has been since the beginning of December with thousands of people affected and zero updates or fixes. thousands of headsets are now 300$ paper weights. just saying
not to mention Christmas just happened. gotta be pretty disappointing to get that meta quest just for it to not work
Try this - it's an official workaround from Meta. Seems like a dll from open SSL is missing in some windows installations

This suggestion worked for me. Adding oculus-runtime and oculus-librarian to system paths . Was struggling for many days now.
