Can't see my games in meta horizon link library after fresh windows 11 install

After a fresh reinstalling of windows 11 due to an SSD failure, I now can't see my games in the Meta Horizon Link PC App. I'm all signed in, and I've set up Elite Dangerous through Steam which took a bit of doing. I played it and I can see that in the library but not anything else. I played a couple of other games on my headset and they work fine.

My headset is linked to the PC app. I set the filters so that I can see anything. That brings up the VR chat but that's it!

I can see my son as a friend, so I'm thinking that the Meta Horizon Link PC App has recognized my account properly based on that.

I don't know what to try next, so I thought I'd ask on here. Any advice as to why I can't see my other games and what I could try to resolve the issue? Thanks in advance.

You need to go into the Link PC app library, click the "+" and then click "refresh list" and wait. Also, in the Link settings, make sure your library path is correct. However, there's currently a bug where users are unable to use the "App not listed? Add it here" setting. You can still run all your VR games directly from the exe file or Windows shortcut. I hardly ever use the Link Library myself.

  • Thansk Steve, at least that got me part way to understanding my issue. I checked and followed my library path, it looks to be correct. Looking in the folders, there's nothing in them. That'll be why Iv've no games listed I assume. I'll try looking throough the headset menu for a similar refresh option if it exists there.

So I've had a search through the headset option and I'm not seeing anything that helps. I have been back to my account, and I can see my games as purchses in my order history. It also says they've been added to my library. I' assuming it means the headset library as they still don't appear in the Meta PC Link Library. Perhaps it's my expectations that are incorrect. Steve has suggested that it's not.

Older versions of the Link app put the downloaded games into "C:\Program Files\Oculus\Software" but the newer installer removes all references to "oculus" and changed it to "Meta Horizon" or "Horizon" or something similar. So maybe your games are still in the legacy folder. I'm still on the legacy installation path. Or possibly, the installer might have moved all your games to "C:\Program Files\Meta Horizon\Software" (or whatever the new path is called).
