I bought a meta quest one, and I'm furious to find that I can't even use it! The setup is just completely broken in the app and I have found many forum posts from about 3 years ago of people complaining about the same thing, although now the workarounds they suggested don't even work any more.
Would like to relight the fire on this one, please can this be fixed?

Well, the headset is not supported anymore, so they won't make any changes in the app for it.

That's not quite right, the workaround is still working. Maybe not with a phone because the scaling of the app just don't fit the screen and you can't reach the continue button.
But you can use a tablet.... a friend recently tested, if this still works.... it does.😁
He used v257.0.0.16.106 and was able to finish the the setup.
But the easiest method is using an iphone - maybe you can borrow one for the setup - the setup of the Quest 1 is working without issues, no older version of the mobile app is needed.
