Child Account Disappeared from Family Center

The other day I noticed my 11 year old account disappeared from Family Center. He can still play games etc on his quest however he can no long send or receive messages. I still follow him on Meta but I cannot message him and when I click on his profile I get a message that I either blocked him or he has deactivated his account. I also have not blocked him. He said he did not deactivate his account and cannot access Family Center on his Quest. He also cannot log into Meta on his account. Cannot reset password and his password does not work. When I request a code for password change via email I don’t get any email or code. I received no messages from Meta regarding account issues either.  Not sure what’s going on….

    I have been dealing with this same thing for weeks. Have you received any help? I've chatted and emailed with Meta, they want birth cert for son and DL for me. It's driving me insane!

      I have not even been in touch with Meta their support system is very difficult to get in touch with them. I’m thinking I’ll just make my kid a new account as it seems way easier than dealing with them.

  • Same issue here with my 12yo account (was 11yo at the time). Was in a long chat with a rep, issue forwarded to wherever, over a month later still no resolution, but alot of rep's supposedly taking a personal interest in resolving it. uh-huh....keep trying to tell me that. My kid has so much progress made on games and sunk a robot gift cards in to purchased games that I can't just make a new account for him. I did however offer to make one if whatever team could transfer game data. It was ignored. I feel like his account was straight up hacked and not being admitted by meta. If that happened to be the case i would be ridiculously annoyed since i have payment data linked. I could be wrong but they are a tech company! How can they not find a resolution or at least identify the issue.

      I email them back daily and get the same bot responses. No progress, no updates and they won’t answer my direct questions. I’m so fed up and my kiddo is devastated. It’s sickening they can’t figure this out. I think they’re just hoping I give up.
