Child email address?

I setup my child’s account for his new quest 3s on Christmas. So far, so good. When he turned 13, he was going through the process of setting up his teen settings. I suppose he entered his screen name incorrectly and associated that with his email address and now we can’t figure out how to access his original screen name that is associated with my account. We still have access to that screen name but have no idea what email is associated with it. Anyone know how to find out the email address for a screen name?

Right 10-12 accounts don't have an own email address.

My guess is that when my son went through that process, it was unclear and he mistyped his screen name, so he ended up associating his email with a different screen name. Now that the month of his birthday has closed, he’s locked out of his screen name and it’s telling us his email is used for another account.

I don't believe, simply changing the username in his profile will connect his new account to his former child account.

I think, the easiest way is .... going through that process again, using another email address with your son's correct username.

    That's how I would do it 🙃

Maybe there is another way, to keep his email address and connect it with the old child account.

Thanks - but those would lead to my own details. What I need are the personal details for the child account that we cannot get into except through the parent account and there are no links for personal details there - it will only give us the screen series of: happy birthday, it’s time to set up your meta account! When we get to the point to enter the email address and password it tells us his email address is already in use

I think, children's accounts are set up using the parents' email address, or am I wrong?🤔

I get the feeling that under 13 they have no email address and when they hit 13, you associate an email address? My guess is that when my son went through that process, it was unclear and he mistyped his screen name, so he ended up associating his email with a different screen name. Now that the month of his birthday has closed, he’s locked out of his screen name and it’s telling us his email is used for another account. I have logged into that account and it is a mistyped version of his screen name. What I’m trying to do is fix the association, so his email address and his screen name are connected
