When trying to make sure Gorilla Tag backs up to Cloud Backup, I get an error indicating the backup was too large to upload. The headset has over 50% free space and is up to date. The cloud backup app listing indicates the last backup date for this game was 2 months ago. How do I fix this without factory resetting, which will likely cause me to lose progress and cosmetics?
The amount of free space on your headset is irrelevant. The Cloud has limited free space allocated to every user. If save games are larger than the allocated limit, they simply don't get backed up to the cloud. There is no solution, except if you want to go into the app's settings on your headset and delete the app's data, which would basically mean that you have deleted all your current game's progress and cosmetics anyway. But that might allow you to back it up to the cloud for a while until the data becomes too big again, but what is the point?

maybe it helps if you delete some of the older savedates to minimize the size of the backup data?
Go to your cloud backups, tab on the arrow left from the game name, it'll expand and you can delete some older save dates.
