Desperate

Meta will quickly delete this but hopefully someone can respond first.

I sent my defective headset and both controllers in for repair.

They only sent back the headset.

Since then, I have received numerous cut and pasted replies all saying the same 'we are looking into it and will get back to you in X days. X comes and goes. From what I have seen on the forums, Meta does this till you give up and simply go away.

Out of approximately 15-20 replies from Meta, only one support person, named 'Abel' was helpful. He told me my controllers were lost, but he would send out two replacements and also credited my Meta account $15 for the trouble.

Sadly, nothing happened since then. I tried reaching out by putting 'ATTENTION ABEL' in the subject but he never got it. Each time, a different tech would reply thinking this was a brand-new issue and saying what they said on day one "we will look into it".

Is there anything I can do? Meta's BBB rating is already a "F" so no point in going through them. I can contact the Texas (their location) Attorney General Office, but I do not hold out much hope on this. I cannot afford a lawyer. The controllers would cost at least $150 to replace.

The fact that there are many controllers on EBAY without the headset makes me more than suspicious. Searching various forums and even having AI agent (Perplexity) research this showed only bad news. It said Meta keeping parts sent in for repair and not returning it to the customer was common and said I had 'less than a 30% chance of getting my controllers again'.

Does anyone have any idea of something I can do? I will paste this on every forum that Meta cannot delete it from as a warning to others, but from what I have already seen, Meta's horrible customer service is already well known.

I tried asking for a supervisor in one of my messages and naturally they ignored this.

Be warned!
