We hear you're trying to use your friends device referral to get some early credit and an amazing head start on your virtual adventures through the Metaverse! What a wonderful thing and we're absolutely thrilled to have you travel through the virtual world soon.

 

Now as you've said, all it does when you try to use the referral is bring up the app, right? In that case, there is something that you can do to make sure that your referral goes through without a problem, so let's get started. 

Please make sure that you're using the link that was sent to you by your friend, and that you use it before activating your Meta Quest headset. That's all you need to do to make sure that the referral link works, and if this is confirmed and it just openes the Meta Horizon app, which should be connected to your account, then that means it's been activated on your account and you will receive your credit once you've activated your new headset. 

 

While making sure that the link was correctly activated is very important, there are a few extra point to take note off, which are our referral program rules that we have linked here for you. Some of the important rules that we want to mention but are also mentioned in the link from before, are making sure that both you and your friend are located in a supported country, as well as over the age of 18 (19 in South Korea).
