“Turn Back On (Please?)” — A Quest 3 Parody Song
Verse 1
I was swingin’ sabers, feelin’ like a VR king,
Till my controller slipped and doom became a thing.
Headset hit the floor like a meteorite,
Now it’s darker than my wallet on rent night.
Pre-Chorus
Took it to the shop, they poked it with a stick,
Said “Buddy, this is cooked — the damage is thick.”
But I’m not givin’ up, no, I’m not done,
I’m headin’ to the forums like I’m the chosen one.
Chorus
Now I’m beggin’ on the Quest boards, chanting ancient lore,
“Does anyone know a ritual to make it boot once more?”
Should I draw a magic circle? Sacrifice a spare Link cable?
I’ll try anything at this point — I’m emotionally unstable.
Ohhh, turn back on, please turn back on…
My Quest 3’s gone, but I’m holdin’ on.
Verse 2
Someone said “Try freezer trick,” another said “Use rice,”
One guy wrote a spell that honestly sounded kinda nice.
I’m mixing gamer tears with a drop of thermal paste,
If this works I’ll write a guide, no effort goes to waste.
Pre-Chorus
I’m chanting “Meta, hear me,” waving sage above the screen,
My family’s lookin’ at me like I’ve lost my last bean.
But hope is a feature — and mine’s still installed,
Even if my headset’s basically a brick that’s recalled.
Chorus
So I’m beggin’ on the Quest boards, whispering to the void,
“Can I resurrect my headset or is it fully destroyed?”
Should I summon VR spirits? Perform a firmware séance?
I’ll try anything except accepting warranty noncompliance.
Ohhh, turn back on, please turn back on…
My Quest 3’s gone, but I’m holdin’ on.
Bridge
Maybe I should’ve bought a case,
Maybe I should’ve watched my space,
Maybe I shouldn’t have played Gorilla Tag
Next to a staircase.
But hindsight’s 20/20 — unlike my headset screen,
Which now displays absolutely nothing.
Final Chorus
Now I’m posting one more thread, though they say it’s dead and done,
But I believe in miracles — or at least in copium.
If a dark ritual can fix it, point me to the tome,
Till then I’ll keep refreshing like it’s my new home.
Ohhh, turn back on, please turn back on…
My Quest 3’s gone, but I’m holdin’ on.
