Error: Code validation has failed. Please Try again- SMS not sent

Hi everyone,

I’m having trouble with Meta’s verification process.
When I click “Next” to receive the SMS verification code, I immediately get this error message:

“

Validation error

Code validation has failed. Please try again.

”

The problem is that the code is never sent — the error appears before any SMS is even delivered.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Double-checked that my phone number is correct and includes the international prefix (+39 for Italy).
Tried both the Meta mobile app and a desktop browser.
Cleared cache and cookies, disabled VPN and browser extensions.
I tested the same phone number with a different Meta account, and SMS codes arrive without any issue.

So the problem seems to be linked to my main account, not the phone or carrier.

Has anyone experienced this before?
Is there any known solution or way to contact Meta support for this type of account-specific verification error?

    If possible, try deleting the phone number from your Meta account first, save, then enter the number again.

    I’m having this same issue but cannot log in to my account due to it.
